The project required KOA to design 18 new townhouses as part of an 85 dwelling development for Defence Housing Australia. Split into three blocks of six townhouses each, the design resolved to 1. position the stair landings to ensure survellience of the public street; 2. position the kitchen to ensure survellience of the private garden; 3. position shared balcony to ensure survellience of the rear lane. This enables casual community contact to occur.
